Today was, relatively good ! Except for the 2 tests, which i hope i can still scrape As in ):

Jolly lunch w/ 9 other sop ones (haha what a joke) then choir. Sectionals were enjoyable ! But unproductive. So how ? To scold or not to scold.

Then afterwards when I was scouring causeway point for a present for my bwutha i met ATIQAH ! Blissful 20mins of catching up / camwhoring / calling Hameedaaaa to kachiao her that left me in a great mood :D God i miss them.

Took out some of the Farewell cards from last year and re-read them today.

Inevitably, visited good ol' Memory Lane and I didnt realise how much I miss the seniors. I miss being an innocent little choir member/ASL and being gay in choir, I miss the failed sop one outings with yellows+blues and camwhoring, I miss going out for concerts with the greens. Some of the letters really made me feel like crying, especially joey's and deb's. All about to keep believing and going forward and that one day I'd be a really great SL (but yeah, that part's rubbish). Which made me remember how I used to be such a bitchy/unreasonable SL (maybe I still am) but now that I want to change and I know how to change, it's just kind of too late.

I don't want to step down at all ): I'm gonna miss the sop ones and the rest of the choir like maaaaaad, and I dont know how I'm gonna survive school once we go. Hope I haven't left a bad impression on my sop ones; I know I'm not exactly very likeable. But well.

I really miss the blues. And Myra (haha not being biased). I WANT TO GO BACK. I WANT TO GO BACK BACK BACK.

After another horrible horrible thursday, yesterday was a happy day ! Fridays are so much more relaxed and I can actually enjoy singing freely like before, and not as if im treading on dangerous waters D: Furthermore, jing leryee and debbie came back !! So great seeing them again, I feel like a happy little junior again.

AH WELL ! The entire sec 4 cohort went to support the T&F team @ choachukang stadium on wednesday. It was ... sweaty, boring but fun :D Lotsa camwhoring (to be expected) and the cheering was absotooootly awesome. LOVE YOU SNGS.

And today was a somewhat productive shopping day. Got my new wallet, water bottle and specs ! ~ Plus food and that's 41 bucks all gone. :/

Last night, I had, possibly, the best dream ever. It was also the most disappointing and heart-shattering.

So let the dream sequence begin;

1st scene: I (plus family) meet Johnny Depp. We talk to him for ages asking him all sorts of questions while he answers with that adorable high-cheekboned smile of his. Finally, I break in with the most important question, "MAY I TAKE A PHOTO WITH YOU ?!?!?" Sadly, he says no (WHY WHY ?!?!?!) but says I can take photos OF him. So I do. Lots.

-scene changes-

2nd scene: I'm walking alone down this street that looks very Vienna-ish ? Maybe Russia :D After crossing some coolio cobblestones, I see Logan Lerman. Like omg. But he's walking straight ahead into a crowd. After squeezing through the crowd, I come to a McDonalds, where he's standing there with this Asian family. I sidle up to them but they ask me to take a photo of them with him. Being the courteous girl that I am, I agree and snapsnap. I hand back the camera then turn around cos someone called my name. When I turn back, LOGAN IS GONE !!!! AHHHH.

-scene changes again-

3rd scene: I'm standing at a square with the MEP girls, and there's this big crowd with paparazzi up ahead. We approach and guess who it is ? Yup, Josh Groban. I scream for a while. Then I beg him to take a photo. HE SAYS YES !!! But my horrible MEP girls get the wrong end of the stick and squeeze into the picture with me, and even force us to do some lame groupshot pose !!! We take a few of these and just when I'm about to go up and ask for an individual shot with Joshy,

And I just found out that, cherry on top of the cake, I may not be able to go to Russia after all. Apparently the trip's price has been increased so now I'm not really worth subsidizing. I've been looking forward to it for. SO. LONG. When I found out I just wanted to bury my head in my knees and cry.

Just returned from Lynette's blog (wow she had the nerve to call me chaichai), and I had ... a revelation ?

It used to bother me a lot how the sop ones werent considered very bonded (compared to the A2s obviously ._.) but now I realised I'm not too stressed out about it anymore. I guess I should just be glad that they don't hate each other or anything. Asking a section of 19 to be bonded is pushing it a little too much I think.
NEVERTHELESS, I still would like a little sop one dinner one day too :D And if the usual people don't come, I guess ... I'd be used to that by now ._.

Nothing interesting happened this week. Chicago was sold out so I guess now that's out too ):
I'm dying to go to a concert but Anderson's is just 1hr so ... not worth the money hehe. Can't wait for all those great movies like Alice in Wonderland and etc to come out so I'll have an excuse to go out and unwind. With Johnny Depp's face enlarged 300 times on big screen in front of me.
Now that's what I call living the good life.

On a really random note, I was stalking Ms Nair on facebook today. She has such a cute family omg !! There was this album of a photoshoot the 3 of them took, and she's soooooo pretty. Haha okay I'm gushing over her but it's alright cos she's all the way in Cedar and we're in the pathetic clutches of _____ ___.

It's crazy. 3 weeks have flowwwwwwwwn by. Complete with 1 failed amath test, 1 A1 emath test (HOORAY !), a probably-but-hopefully-not screwed bio test and an almost empty To Kill a Mockingbird.
So please, WHOEVER YOU ARE OUT THERE, if you have mockingbird notes, please save my soul.

Oh and for the record, choir has never been more tiring in my entire life. The whole thursday-friday cca thing is so whacked up. And now we have voice on saturdays, so it's vocalssss 3 days in a row. O.O
Very tired. As Ms Poore might write: "V^3" tired. And I seem to be sweating a lot lately; during choir in the no-ventilation ava room, walking home from the mrt, my seat in the classroom gasping out the window for air, cleaning my room. Good news is, that means I'll be losing weight soon ! Hopefully gaining height too.

There was a blissfull 1hr25min lunchbreak before choir today, which was spent with Lynette and Kai Jun (fellow non-Physics takers). Haha I swear I haven't laughed so hard and had so much fun in ages. We went exploring near the school to find Ms Soon's house + get some makan, turns out there are a lot more shops/coffeeshops at the back. And it's so nice and non-crowded ! :D
Took a shortcut on the way back through this playground. The kids in us were called out upon seeing the (literally) miniature merry-go-round, SO WE PLAYED ON IT ~
HAHAHAHA TALK ABOUT THE COOLEST ADRENALINE RUSH EVER ! Lynette starting this whole dizzyingly-swing-her-head-like-posessed thing and her expression = boomz. No other word.
Then I got them started on the idea of singing zingybringy while swinging our heads so the result was too much to handle. HAHAHA I THINK THE UNCLE ON THE BENCH NEXT TO US MUST HAVE THOUGHT WE WERE MAD.

Then in the toilet back in school, we were waiting outside for the only clean cubicle when someone from inside went "HI !". So we asked the Mysterious Toilet Phantom who she was, and she replied "Your worst nightmare ..." in this really low scary voice that KaiJun thought it was MayShuen.
And it turned out to be the Mysterious Toilet Manda.

Oh and today, Jing came back ! <3 And we had such an amusing conversation.

I am so upset. Totally missed cca fair today ! Sick to the core after choir yesterday, which I should have just ponned but I went anyway COS IM SUCH A DUTIFUL CHORISTER.

it would have been cool if today's post was post 365, but guess I'm one post short.

To be absolutely honest, 2009 hasn't been a wondrous year. 17 text messages about how lucky so-and-so is to have me as a friend and how I've made the past year so enjoyable and magical is a little hard to believe. Not that i don't appreciate it of course (: (Because i totally feel the same way about you, so-and-so.)

Anyhoo, yeah. 2009 has definitely been short of perfect, filled with fights, make-ups, tears, cruddy report cards, laughter, PHOTOS and so much more, and it was definitely different from any other year. In a blink-and-miss-it way, i feel like I've matured. I actually think before i speak now, and I'm pretty sure I've offended less people in the year than usual. HAHA talk about big accomplishment

I don't think i would have made it through 2009 without the support and encouragement from all my friends (cheesy as it sounds), and I am eternally grrrrrrrateful to them -kisses-

Last night was one of the best nights ever ! Met up with some WDP choristers, namely Erin, YeeHerng, Aziimi, Dewi & Dora to go for the Celebration of Voices concert @ Esplanade.
I really miss choir !! It was so fun reminiscing about the "good ol' days" while training to city hall (and relishing in the fact that 6Diligent06 is the only class who still has reunions) And it was absolutely exhilarating to sing along with the encore (L)

This just in, Anderson Choir is having ANOTHER concert. WTF ! This will be the 2nd one in 3 years ! And stupid old StNicks will never have a concert. Why can't the school just loosen up and let us have our fun ?! I WANT A CONCERTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT.

p.s. The 'misc' page with the tagboard aint working cos I accidentally deleted it and I dont know how to put it back. Hmm.

Today, Chanty came over to watch The Other Boleyn Girl which was pretty much a flop compared to the book (which has long ago been awarded the title of My Favourite Book).

2 things I have to say about the movie :
- I didn't want George to die ! It took me days to get over his unjustified death in the book, and now it's gonna take me even longer cos I witnessed the actor die ):
- Eric Bana has a gooood boddaye -whistles-

Maybe it's just my sick obsession with older guys ._.

Went to 313 after that to check out New Look + the 4-storey F21. I bought a dress ! Hoorah. F21 was fruitless cos the queues to the fitting rooms were such a put-off. Oh I love shopping, I want to shop more. (twitch)

I just realised that there's only 2 weeks of these pathetic holidays left, and I still have so much homework to do !

And then I realised that this is no huge revelation and nothing to get my knickers in a twist about.

Imma excited for tomorrow ! It has been ages since I last saw 6Diligent, considering I missed out on Teachers' Day thanks to StNicks' dumb 'lessons as per normal' rule. Hoozah ! I'll be able to stay out past 8pm for once :D All hail bbqs.

Anyway, caught New Moon with my dad and sister today. It was ... nice. Heaps better than Twilight, although I'm guessing once the cast caught the premiere on the big screen, they immediately rushed home and signed up for acting lessons. I still can't believe how much I laughed during the movie ._.

But yes, New Moon was a huge improvement, and there were actual scenes that made me tear. Dakota's cool character was still my favourite though. But then again, she's been my favourite child actress since Uptown Girls :)

It's people like Dakota who really make you think, "Damn, there's someone out there my age who's doing bigger and better things. What am I doing with my life ?"

And then you take a good look around and sigh, "Oh that's right. I'm spending my life in Singapore."

I'm back ! Tanned (was it ever possible ?!), enlightened and with a newfound love for The Simpsons.

Sydney was pleasant enough, with a few misfortunes along the way, but I LOVE SINGAPORE. I DO I REALLY DO ! So please, Mr Government, won't you subsidise me for the Russia trip ?

Anyhoo, i am not gonna post up any pictures of the trip, partly because there are over 800 which are already gonna be selectively reabsorbed into facebook, and partly because no one even reads my blog anymore. Oh great, so i am posting this to no one. HA !

Well then, non-existent reader, I just want to boast that on the flight home, I watched 3 whole movies ! Hoozah ! The Simpsons Movie, Being John Malkovich and Bandslam.
The first was hilariously stupid, the second was creepy but cool, and the third was so cookie-cutter Disney, which of course made it the best show since I'm a sucker for cute Disney movies

my entire first half of the holidays has been dedicated to choir choir CHOIR. preparing for the 26th is hell. yes, hell. and i should really embrace the fact that i've been sacrificing half my secondary life to choir ever since i stepped into the bach room for auditions.

but, sigh, what to do ? this is what you do when you love your cca. wholeheartedly 8)

im tired of playing the bad guy and constantly screaming at the sop ones these past few practices. come on guys ! you can do it without me threatening you and black-facing you all the time :/

went to gengen's confirmation w/ Nette & Nette last sunday. she looks so pretty in her tube ! ~

and today after choir (again), had lunch w/ Nette & Nette, Clara, Cassandra, Bing and Qianyi @ AMK Hub. we talked about choir for what, 2hours+ ? wonder if the seniors ever made such a big hooha over sectionals and juniors during their reign.

i am sneakily using my sister's computer because my own has died and lost its damn Internet connection.

shoe-shopping with weiting yesterday ! except we failed miserably and ended up stuffing ourselves with Ikea meatballs + fries and Popeye's biscuits (heheh, the biscuits was just me). i officially declare Tampines shoe-less and a bad place to shop, since weiting couldnt find her sweater/hoodies that she wanted either.
but im not complaining, considering that shopping the day before with momma and grandma yielded 2 dresses, 2 tops, tube (for low-cut shirt purposes), stockings and 4 bras totalling to a whooping $170. hee.

oh gawd i realise how bimbotic i sound rambling about shopping.

on a more studious note then, i sort of completed the Human Eye worksheet ! im determined to finish half of my homework before the Sydney trip, which is taking away 2 whole weeks of my precious holidays ! then my mum cant complain when i go out every day 8D

which pretty much summed up yesterday.

i know if i were an old girl i would kinda be sick of this school already, but well, since im not, it was a pretty sad occasion knowing that yesterday was the last official day in school. seeing the mep room all locked up, the choir room so empty, and all the "condemned" items lining the corridors was really heart-jerking. i've spent half my secondary school life in the first 2 rooms, i cant even imagine going anywhere else for lessons and choir ! and all the teachers leaving just downright SUCKS. i hereby proclaim that Ms Nair is my favourite teacher and i only realised it this year and now she's leaving too. along with other really great teachers like Ms Tan and, dare i say it, Mr Cher. and we didnt even get to give Mr Cher a proper farewell, which i absolutely whole-heartedly regret.

tsh, it's been ages since i last posted

Halloween last saturday was fun ^^ drizzled a little in the later part but we still got to collect quite a lot of loot >:)

sucks that next year, i'll be sitting at home, screaming as my mum tries to force textbook after textbook into my head.

so what's new ? hmm. "extra lessons" started, boring as hell but absolutely mandatory. i've decided to stay 100% positive and hardworking - IM GOING TO RUSSIA NO MATTER WHAT ! i just really really hope i'll be able to get some subsidy. i want to go overseas with SNChoir so badly ):

speaking of choir, it's practically the only pathetic rotting cherry on top of these weeks of torture. haha once again, choir girls' love for choir is unexplainable, so asking why is just a blatant waste of time. :D

Cantamus Girls Choir is just ... amazing.

i cannot begin to describe their clean&clear, solid voices which hold authentic vibratos that bedazzled every single being in the room.

i can though, honestly say that we were all loyal worshippers and fans by the end of the concert. seriously, they make singing in a hotel function room the most glamourous and exciting thing ever.

did a wikipedia check on them, and they're achievements list is, scary. champions of the World Choir Olympics twice ok, TWICE !

i think i can safely say that farewell '09 was quite a success :D

even though i stayed up till 2am last night/this morning compiling the video and writing last minute letters, it was all worth it.
i think the vid was quite well-recieved, esp the part with Lynette in the end
everyone loves the 老大 :D

and performance was quite well done too ! considering the little time we had to practice and rehearse properly, it went well and it was awesome fun dancing/singing :D

and, haha, presents were fabby too ! even though clara strongly protested against many gay things we bought, our gay seniors loved it ! i think we managed to match the presents quite well to their owners (:
and the sop ones loved the sop 1 tee ! yayyyyy so glad about that ~~~

JUNE IS HERE.

looked in my diary recently and discovered that though my entire month is booked up, (yes im a busy, busy person :D) i only actually go out with friends twice.
everything is basically school events and choir

handover was yesterday
i cried a little, especially when sharlyn started talking. and then it hit me how when we sang as sop ones, the blues would never be with us singing anymore, even though they always WILL BE.
once a sop one, always a sop one

i wanted so badly to go down and hug my lovely soponeblues but it felt ... awkward.
i dont want something so dear and sincere to come out so forced, so i hope you guys understand ):

anyway, we had to leave choir early to go for the Much Ado About Nothing play @ Fort Canning. grabbed subway and cabbed there cos we were late, but thank goodness the others already "booked" seats for us.
the show was awesome but tiring (2h40mins !) and eventually i got the plot :D
the set was super cool too ! there was even a pool built into it 8D

so yesterday around 11 of us from st nicks went for the Augural/Aubural (??!?!) Seminar thingy at hwachong.

after much debating and orange bowl, we finally cabbed there in groups
lynette chantel cabby and i reached there first, and hell, the place is huge.

they have a gigantic patch of grass which is completely unused and could totally fit in 2 HDB flats WHICH CAN HOLD LIKE DOZENS OF FAMILIES.
and Singapore is still complaining about "limited land".

then, the walk from the bloody gate 3 to the Tan Kah Kee statue is tiring and annoying, and if you're half-asleep in the morning, there's definitely a chance of rolling off into the drain below.
no wonder han hao became so skinny ! he has power walks every morning.

and they have all these strange paintings for no reason hung practically everywhere just like this:

and if you look closely, you'll realise that the little animals in the bubbles are the POKEMON MAREEP ! honestly ! pokemon ?!?

we also discovered that in that magical place, you cant understand or hear anything/anyone unless you speak in chinese. we were asking this guy for directions and he just waltzed right past us, and same thing happened with hannah, but she only heard us when lynette said "等我们。"

the dance competition was tre funny !
the Indian/Malay Trainer Mojo was freaking hilarious and kept making faces when the pairs froze in their dance postions. laughed till we got stomachaches
and for some reason, Hope's reps kept posing in some strange chicken-pecking pose which were just so ... odd.

and most of the performances were really entertaining and awesome, but ahem, my favourite was 3Faith :D
kudos to 3D for their Muggerism Musical, 3P for their Nobody Dance (haha Nicole Yue !!), 3J for their Cutey & Sexy Soh, and of course 3HOPE FOR OUR DANCE/SING ITEM :D

our instructors were really nice too !
well, Shi Hui was.
Jian Liang pms-ed like a bitch we should know (but got better during the end thank goodness), and danced like a possessed madman on drugs (which is why they must have strategically put him at the back for the Instructors Dance so no one would be able to see him)

being first-timer on the 966 (aka transport home from rosy's), i didnt know where to alight. i thought marsiling mrt was the next stop but there was a frigging invisible bus stop before that ! (?!?!?)

the main woe is that all my main sources of 9am food (namely Jeanette, BoonYen, Sara and Lynette - by order of how generous they are to me) have migrated far far away !
(oh and of course i miss dear weitiang er and karyn da boob and mackie^2 who was never near me to begin with :/)

choir was surprisingly rather enjoyable today.

yes, quite obviously our tone and sound is still way below standard, but today felt ... fun.
i just love it when ms lim comes, everyone's effort seems to be doubled and i know most of us put in all we have to try and make her smile.
i believe we can do it. once again, we will rise to the occasion (no matter how annoying that is) and we will get that gold with honours.

although i think it's time to start working on the facial expressions and postures. i just really want to slap some people. *itchy palms*

so ! had beach clean up @ East Coast Beach/Park yesterday with half of 3Faith, Hope and some Gracians.

after 2 hours of tiring and gross litter-picking, the SN population succumbed to the wonders of camwhoring. i mean, hello ! the beach was just gorgeous, even with the litter and trashbags in the background

ok, gonna reveal something super dangerous and controversial right now.

when the whole thing ended, there was absolutely no way out of there

i researched it the night before, and the only bus that serviced there didnt run on weekdays

so everyone just kept walking until they miraculously reached Macs or some other civilisation

started out walking with lynette, gen, ning, chantel and megan, but ended up in 2 separate groups. the first 3 with the strong-willed determination we must all learn from, and i went with the latter 2 to try and walk out to the main road to get a cab

(yes, the 3 of us will probably end up as taitais with 5 maids each in the future)

and then, we walked like 5km? 10km? before we actually came out to the road.

and then, we hitched a ride from a minivan.

yeah, filled with UNKNOWN STRANGERS.

thinking back, it really was a freak-ass dangerous and risky thing to do, but i think it was the desperation that drove us into their minivan.

i just really thank God right now, for watching over us and making sure we came to no harm.

and in a way, it really did seem like it was God's will.

the minivan pulled up next to us right after i called gen to ask them to pray for our safety

and what's more, the people in the minivan was a church group.

and one woman inside even noticed how they had 3 available seats, JUST ENOUGH FOR US.

so anyway, we reached the mrt 15 mins before gen nette ning even got a cab (sorry ^^)

stopped at plaza sing for lunch at kfc (and chantel's fried mars bars, which tasted disgusting, im sorry to say)

on the other hand, nanyang really showed us what they're capable of today. it's amazing how well and solid a choir can sound, not torn apart by conflicting voices who are just dying to stand out.
one thing for sure, it's quite obvious now why ms lim praises them so much; they deserve it.

had "sop one" picnic after the whole thing ended; bonded with sausages, meatballs and my disgusting throw-away kaya bread (and more, of course)

anyhoo, went with lynette and gen for sumo house dinner yesterday before going for Crossings.

wow the drama girls were really really good !
almost makes me wish i'd taken drama instead of mep (but as lynette would probably say, BANISH THE THOUGHT !)
favourites were megan's solo piece (you were awesome dear !), Iceballs and the sec 4's finale piece.

although there were some Grade 1 A-holes with a severe attitudnal problem (HA.) present.
they kept making so much noise during the longest piece and were just downright annoying.
typical beng-lian gang, wonder who they came to support?

pics never to be revealed cos i look so horribly horrible in them. thank you so much, sweaty bangs o' mine. i'll send whoever's in them online though :D

i was listening happily when rozz announced that lyric lockdown (guessing the next 2 lines of lyrics) would be a jonas brothers song today

and then :

" You've got to be a real fan to know it, cos why else would anyone listen to them ? "

and i was like, ?!@#^&#*&!#!@(#*_!@#)!@>>!@#

so pissed.
and it wasnt even a hard song, it was S.O.S OK.
and i would totally have tried to enter if not for the lousy prize (tickets to meet some unknown DJ)
because im just such a dedicated "real fan", and i know almost all their songs by heart, WORD FOR FREAKING WORD.
